Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this article is to present a short review of publications concerning strategies of enterprises in high-tech sectors and to present results of the author’s empirical research on the Polish enterprises’ strategies in high-tech and low-tech sectors. The article presents results of research on certain elements of strategic choices: environment perception, strategic objectives and directions of development. The research partly confirmed differences between strategies of high-tech and low-tech enterprises in respect of environment perception, major strategic objectives and enterprise internationalisation.
