Kazimierz Doktór – sketch to the portrait of a scholar and manager

Summary/Abstract: The article is an attempt to outline a scientific portrait of one of the greatest Polish sociologists – Professor Kazimierz Doktór. The author distinguishes stages and areas of Professor’s scientific interests: – domination interest in the sociology of labor and sociology of industry (1956–1967), – domination interest in the sociology of the organization (1968–1986), – domination interest in the sociology of the economy (1987–2016). The above periodization is conventional, because Professor Kazimierz Doktór dealt with these areas of sociology throughout his scientific life. He also dealt with: sociology of management, sociology of the army, sociology of education, sociology of sport, sociology of sport management and management sciences.
