Summary/Abstract: The main goal of this document is to present the history of the creation, conditions and characteristic features of Mergers and Acquisitions processes as a significant strategy for enterprises development. The high complexity of Mergers and Acquisitions processes forces us to reflect specifically on the determinants of decision making and their legitimacy from an economic point of view. The author characterizes the holistic approach to the interpretation of described phenomena, bearing in mind the root place of successive waves of Mergers, Acquisitions and Divestitures processes in the context of their impact on operations features on local markets. The fifth chapter indicates the direction of further research of decision-making processes based on the analysis of behavioral models of team members involved in the Mergers, Acquisitions and Divestiture processes. The analysis was based on secondary sources.
