Summary/Abstract: The article presents the notion STEM education and the reasons determining its introduction to the educational programs. This approach, not yet sufficiently known to the Bulgarian educational system, is project-based and creates interdisciplinary relations, challenges the school students and stirs an interest in science and technologies. There are variants of STEM education which could potentially be introduced to EG “Geo Milev“ – Dobrich, with instructions given for the preparation of a STEM lesson. The STEM education problematics are pointed out, as well as the positive aspects of this approach.
