Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to show the architecture of the system for combating violence in a family in Poland. The author presents the way of formulating and implementing on the national ground the elements forming the system of counteracting violence, as well as the tasks which in this respect are carried out by governmental and local government administration institutions on the central and local level.
