Summary/Abstract: The article discusses rites and practices of the period between birth and infant baptism within the “Szekler-Csángó” community of Pustiana, following the changes of these traditions in time. The historical reasons of the changes in family models are also discussed besides the ritual structure, elements, cultural codes of baptism.
