Challenges facing management practice in the light of Industry 4.0: The example of Poland

Summary/Abstract: The article outlines selected challenges brought by Industry 4.0 as well as consequences for Polish businesses in the modern process of their management. The concept is based on a close connection between physical objects and information network. Sophisticated networks of businesses are being created, connected with smart resources communicating via the Internet. This means cooperation within implemented cyber-physical systems affecting a company's environment, its production model, value-added chain of business processes and organisational structure.
