The Memory about the Islamization -"Male" and "Female" Methaphors

Summary/Abstract: The text follows the "invention" of memory about the Islamization during different historical periods of the Bulgarian society and in different political establishments - from the beginning of the formation of the Bulgarian nation to Communism. The dynamic of the suggestions of the narratives: heroism (masculinity) and victimization (feminity) has been outlined. The domination of different suggestions defines the quality of the national identification.
