Summary/Abstract: The Gypsies, according to the constitution of Tarnovo and the military laws, serve in the army together with all Bulgarian citizens. They are drafted, trained and take part in the implementation of the Bulgarian national ideal of unification. In the wars in which Bulgaria is involved during the second decade of the XX century, Gypsies take part in many battles. Battles memorable for the regiments in which they serve and the battle glory of the Bulgarian soldier. With military records of some them, man can trace the entire battle path of the regiment during the wars. A sizable is the number of dead, wounded, and the ones that died of wounds and disease. The ones that show bravery are rewarded with military honors were elevated in rank, taking junior field-grade positions.
