Summary/Abstract: The article below investigates the areas of influence of traditional creativity on contemporary art. Based on the examples of the jianzhi paper cutting technique, it is demonstrated how traditional themes and techniques can be applied in the creation of contemporary artists. Among them is Li Bao Yi, a well-known Japanese painter, who creates her conceptual works focused on the theme of the interaction between nature, technology and the modern aspect of urbanization.
