Is Aristotle a deflationist?

Summary/Abstract: This article attempts a confrontation of Aristotle's views of truth and contemporary conceptions. It is argued that Aristotle is a correspondence theorist of truth, according to the traditional picture, although this correspondence theory can hardly be interpreted as a version of truth making. It actually comes close to some versions of what is known today as a form of deflationism or minimalism.
