Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to determine what kind of image could be communicated by a historian in his/her films, shared on their YouTube channel. Moreover, there is a question whether the features of a popular science video blog influence the image of a vlogger, which is constructed by a recipient. Research was conducted among respondents who watched a film and then described the image of the historian. The results indicate that the image of a vlogger consists mainly of features based on communication skills, expressiveness, knowledge, sense of humor, passion and involvement, as well as self-confidence. Although the discourse facilitates communication of some image qualities, their proportions are different, depending on a particular vlogger.
