Costs of Setting Up a Foreign Infantry Regiment in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania in the First Half of the Seventeenth Century

Summary/Abstract: The article brings up the issue of the costs of setting up the foreign infantry regiment for the 1632– –1634 Smolensk War by Lithuanian Field Hetman Krzysztof Radziwiłł and Lithuanian Chamberlain Janusz Radziwiłł. The author decided to analyse problems of the costs of this undertaking and the reasons why Radziwiłłs undertook the task.
