Summary/Abstract: Regardless the noted advances concerning the situation of women in Tunisia,they are still victims of multiple violence in a varying degrees. The assaults against them areverbal, moral, threatening, physical and sexual. They are perpetuated at home, in the street andat the workplace. They face, sometimes irreparably, physical, sexual and psychological trauma.Certainly, Violence against women comes from the assumption that woman is a body for noreason and legitimate to treat it as an object. This perception is shaken since it has been deniedin the social, economic, political and legal condition of women subordinated to that of men.
