Summary/Abstract: The paper presents a document of the bishop of Wrocław, Przecław of Pogarell, which was issued on 9 February 1370 in Otmuchów, in which the said bishop confirms the diploma of Opawa-Racibórz Prince John I of 12 November 1368. The prince’s document concerns the sale of the annual rent (11 pounds “grzywna”) in Nowe Zagrody (which is a part of Racibórz today) by the city council of Racibórz to the monastery of the Dominican Sister’s convent in the same town. Both diplomas constitute a valuable source for research in the history of the monastery of the Dominican Sister’s convent in Racibórz, and of the town itself. The particular value is that of the references to persons mentioned in both documents, among others, a mayor, and members of the city council, lay judges and guild masters.
