DYNAMISM OF THE MEANING OF “PROSVESHCHENIE” WORD IN LITERARY RUSSIAN OF THE MIDDLE OF 19TH CENTURY

Summary/Abstract: The work is devoted to the semantic changes of the word “enlightenment” in the Russian literary language (the middle of the 19th century); the research is done taking into account the evolution of its long-standing meanings in the Old-Russian language and in the 18th century. The influence of the semantic continuity of this word on the character of its use in texts of various ideological types is considered in the paper.
