Summary/Abstract: The article will present the contribution of Croatian police and army units from the area of Koprivnica-Križevci County in the defense and liberation of the Republic of Croatia. The county was outside the front line in the 1991-1995 Homeland War. In addition, the county made a great contribution to the defense and liberation of the Republic of Croatia from the Greater Serbia Aggression. Among the first in the Republic of Croatia, the area of the County was liberated from the Yugoslav People’s Army, weapons were sent to other parts of Croatia, units were formed to defend Croatia on the Novljan-Pakrac battlefield from October 1991. They will participate to the greatest extent in the liberation of the Republic of Croatia. Most of the work is dedicated to them. In addition to the Croatian Army, a great contribution was made by the basic and special police of our County, especially at the beginning of the Homeland War in 1991 in the defense of Pakrac, Daruvar, Banovina.
