Summary/Abstract: This text presents the life and work of the writer and scientist Slavica Garonja Radovanac, Ph.D., with an emphasis on her literary works thematically and spatially related to the Požega region and western Slavonia. The author commented on the reception of these works in the Požega readership. He explained why this acceptance is important in today’s Croatian social situation.
