Summary/Abstract: The current volume focuses on the relevance of the concept of space in dance, its meanings and functions in dance performance and beyond, as a universe of meanings that frame physical spaces in terms of the tensions between energy, form, spatial constraints and plasticity of the choreographic space which defines any choreographic creation making more or less obvious the artistic techniques which structure and transform it, posing specific problems to choreographers and dancers, while the solutions depend on reflection, training and dance as a form of creation, practice and experiment.
