Summary/Abstract: In A.P. Chekhov’s works of art the detail is anthropocentric and participates in the supertext formation which is an implicit dialogue of the author with the reader. In F. Amirhan’s creative output the detail is more concrete and at the same time more intensive, figuratively stated, bright; it expresses the author's idea directly and participates actively in creating and disclosing the ideologically aesthetic plan of the novel. Chekhov uses various means of detailed elaboration, his detail is mobile, varied, individual in each concrete case (except the chronotypical details which are symbolic in the world literature as a whole). In F. Amirhan’s stories the detail is steady, repeating, reproducing, and frequently it is related to a medieval motive.
