Summary/Abstract: The change of living conditions, the differentation of educational methods, and the social and psychological effects of the electronic world presented to children are changing the way children's subconscious perceptions of colour, figures and symbols are reflected. It is seen that frequently used arguments in everyday life such as television, the internet, imitating paintings made by other friends, and information taught at school are reflected in children's works through hidden learning. The child thinks that he originally formed his work, but the reflected traces of the interactions show themselves in the studies. In this study, the authenticity of the practices performed by secondary school class five students consisting of thirty people through specific days and weeks theme works. It has been observed whether the authenticity of children is restricted. If the origionality of children is restricted, the arguments that restrict the authenticity have been tried to reveal. The case study, one of the qualitative research patterns, was used in this study. Content analysis of the data taken from the works about speicfic days and weeks and interviews with the participating students in the Visual Arts class was done. As a result of this study it proves that television, internet, information taught at school and the inspiration from friends and factors like these restrict children's authenticity. The findings of this study reveal that students’ subconscious schemes came to their minds involuntarily while they were painting, and hence those students could not be origional. It is found that students imitated each other's work during interactive teaching in the classroom environment. Therefore, it is required to take the necessary measures to ensure that the artistic development of children can continue in a unique way.
