The use of synthetic measures for the construction of regional economic indicator

Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article is to assess the possibility of using synthetic indicators for the construction of the current and leading indicator of the economic situation on a regional basis, on the example of the Warmia and Mazury Voivodship. The basis for the construction of these measures are partial indicators on the economic situation of the region, obtained from the Statistical Office in Olsztyn. The built current and leading indicators show that it is possible to assess the state of the economy on the basis of the so-called quantitative macroeconomic data for a specific region.
