Summary/Abstract: The article explains a few basic concepts that Karl Barth in his famous Church Dogmatic proposes to apply in his teaching about Holy Spirit. After the an introductory examination of the thought presented by the reformed theologian in the first part, the second part presents the concept of the „way of being” („Seinsweise”) intended to replace the concept of the Holy Spirit as a “person”. The following part presents the Barth’s view of the Holy Spirit as the „subjective reality of revelation” (subjective Wirklichkeit der Offenbarung) and the „subjective possibility of revelation” (subjective Möglichkeit der Offenbarung). This „subjective” revelation is different from the objective revelation of Jesus Christ. The last point presents the teaching of Barth on baptism with the Holy Spirit understood as the „exclusive” deed of God. The article ends with conclusive recapitulation.
