Summary/Abstract: The Praga Museum of Warsaw formally exists as a branch of Museum of Warsaw since 2006. Since 2015, having its place of residence renovated and main exhibition opened, it is fully active on a local ground of Praga district. Briefing main programme assumptions this text concentrates on three most important questions: why does the museum exist, is it relevant to the needs of the local community and what are its main tasks in that context.
