Summary/Abstract: What should be done to make the role of museums at the service of the public a constant subject of reflection and discussion among stakeholders? Is it possible to link the amount of subsidies to the quality of the tasks carried out by the museums? The author, referring to the currently functioning reporting models and bringing closer the results of research on the model of dissemination of funds (private and public) for culture, draws attention to the benefits that could result from the introduction of museum parameterization. Parameterization is understood as a quality management system that allows an objective and measurable assessment of the quality of museum operations.
