Summary/Abstract: The article is devoted to the study of metric-rhythmic structure and form of folk song stanza as stabilizers of variant folk tradition. Moreover, the stabilization mechanism is a system of variability factors and stabilization. They operate in relation to all components of a communication system, which ensures the functioning of folklore. The essence of extra-textual, textual-verbal and musical stabilizers of the folk song tradition is revealed.
