Summary/Abstract: I have known Matt Kroenig and followed his work for years. I have admired his courage, inordinary these days, to speak at fora and publicly stand for views which he had known well would win him few friends among those in attendance. This was the case with both the ‘Prague Agenda’ conference on disarmament, arms control and nuclear security and the Prague Insecurity Conference, both organised by my institute in recent years. Matt did so, and it was with – again, not altogether common – civility, composure and yet great conviction.
