Summary/Abstract: The theology of the icon has enjoyed some interest over time among the Romanian theologians. Even if volume works dedicated to the icon appeared only very late (if we do not take into account Dumitru Fecioru’s translation of St. John Damascene’s “Treatises against Iconoclasts” or Father Dumitru Stăniloae’s translations), we still find a number of articles in periodicals of theology. For an overview of the Romanian iconology in this article are taken into consideration the magazines: Studii Teologice, Ortodoxia, Glasul Bisericii, Mitropolia Olteniei, Mitropolia Sucevei, and among the newest Studia Babeş-Bolyai Theologia Orthodoxa and the cultural and theological magazine Tabor.
