Summary/Abstract: Cities have specific cash resources to carry out tasks. These tasks include running self-government promotion. Local governments create marketing and promotion plans to increase the effectiveness of their activities. These activities include various projects – such as the organization of sports competitions, cultural events, the publication of promotional brochures and the broadcast of television commercials, which are designed to encourage investors and tourists to visit the city and, consequently, contribute to the region's economic development.
