Summary/Abstract: The authors of the article analyze the causes and the extremely violent Arab-Israeli armed conflicts, in the Middle East during the Cold War, as well as the ways of involving the Great Powers in their preparation and development, as an expression of the West-East confrontation. The authors note that in this area, the Soviets found fertile ground for the implementation of an anti-Western program through their efforts to export communist ideology and remove Arab states from the sphere of influence of Western countries and transfer them to their sphere of influence, while Westerners, wishing to maintain their influence over them, looked for ways to stop Soviet penetration into the Middle East.
