Social Movements’ Archives. On Social Value of Counter-knowledge

Summary/Abstract: The article is an attempt of applying a notion of archive to the analysis of processes of accumulation and distribution of knowledge considered by social movements as valuable. The author traces interdependences between knowledge accumulated in social archives (and ways of its organisation) and productivity and performative power of those archives. She takes a critical look at the idea of collaboration between researcher and researched groups in process of knowledge production, as used in engaged anthropology methodology.
