Summary/Abstract: This work focuses on the system of forced labor imposed upon Jews in Romania from December 1940 until August 1944, by following up a case study – the brigade of Jewish architects and engineers assigned for the construction of the palace where the Interior Affairs Ministry would later move. The study also points out the work of Jewish architects and engineers who were part of the Architectural Department of the Interior Affairs Ministry and who performed „purely professional and very special” tasks, thus contributing to the construction of the building which still hosts the same institution.
