Summary/Abstract: If we try to look at the philosophical system of Blaga from the perspective of the metaphysical myth of the Great Anonymous, Blaga’s gnoseology appears as a bridge that makes it possible to jump in the mysterious domain of the transcendent. That is why the Dogmatic Eon (1931) is the first brick made by the philosopher to build the metaphysical myth of the Great Anonymous and aims to legitimize dogma as a transfigured antinomy. The legalization of the transfigured antinomy, which begun in the Dogmatic Eon, will be continued, with a slightly different terminology, in Luciferic Knowledge (1933). Addressing gnoseological problems, in the Dogmatic Eon, Blaga extracts from the history of philosophy, in a synthetic form, three possible attitudes towards the transcendent (mystery): 1. the transcendent can be rationalized and expressed (Eleatics, Aristotle, Spinoza, Leibniz); 2. The transcendent can neither be rationalized nor expressed (agnosticism, Kant); 3. The transcendent cannot be rationalized, but can be expressed (Philon, Gnostics, Christians).
