Summary/Abstract: In the field of Romanian poetry, Transylvania is an important component with symbolic resonances for the entire national consciousness. In full consonance with his colleagues of the same generation and with his ancestors, overwhelmed by “Transylvania spirit” and assuming the whole becoming of their own nation, I. Alexandru is convinced that “... you can bring fruits only by growing your roots in the being of a nation and place, in the history of your homeland” because “... everything has happened in history”. The article analyzes the poetry of Ioan Alexandru from the perspective of the exaltation of spirituality in Transylvania.
