Summary/Abstract: Throughout the ages, the good Christians have confessed Christ, sometimes at the cost of their lives. They have just fulfilled the word of the Savior: Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven (Matthew 10:32). Not only in ancient times, but also in contemporary times, true Christians confessed Christ. This year was dedicated by the Holy Synod to the commemoration of the Patriarch Justinian and the defenders of Orthodoxy during communism. It is known that the communist ideology was of Marxist origin and against faith. Justinian the Patriarch, with his wisdom, ruled the Church in those difficult times, and it was because of his ability, that the Orthodox Church life, with its inherent restrictions, could continue. But with all his efforts, he could not save all the confessors of faith. Many went to prison and many died there.
