Summary/Abstract: The educational system in Poland has undergone changes in the past few years, thanks to the education reform, which entered into force on 1st September 2017. The consequences of these changes apply to different areas of education, including the image of today's teacher. Whether the modern teacher is the authority for its pupils? If his competence and personality traits and are sufficient to be considered for the master and model exemplary? Before a teacher of the 21st century are facing new challenges. The teacher must be professional and have such personality characteristics to inspire students.
