Summary/Abstract: The goal of this article is to check how post-growth can strengthen the grassroots ecological movements in Poland. The Camp for the Forest, initiated in 2017, is a symbolic beginning of a new ecological wave; we offer it a theoretical mirror aimed at developing self-knowledge and discovering the philosophical foundations of action. The ineffectiveness of conservationism increases the risk of commodifying nature. An alternative path is an ecological justice –– the question arises, however, whether it can be taken outside the local community. I am looking for an answer in redefining the category of livelihood and going beyond the human/nature dualism towards a relational value of nature.
