Summary/Abstract: Until the rise of new media, the health discourse was dominated by scientifi c, academic, medical and journalistic actors. Inrecent years, the infl uencers in the blogosphere and on the YouTube have also begun to work on topics of health: more and morecivil content is appearing in both text and video form. In our article, we examine if these content creators can be interpretedas new actors in health journalism. Our study compares two Hungarian infl uencers (Antal Vali, Tindigo) with two completelydiff erent authenticity strategies to provide an accurate picture of health journalism and its credibility in the era of new media.
