Summary/Abstract: Instead of an authentic Cyrillic alphabet the foreign students amazingly often use some kind of calligraphic hybrid, based on the Latin alphabet. The explanation of the matter can be found in the defective training of Russian teachers abroad. The correcting of this unsatisfactory situation must begin first of all by the calligraphic training of Russian teachers by means of giving them theoretical knowledge as well as practical abilities.
