Summary/Abstract: In the XVIIth century there was a very important change in the ecclesiastical life of the Romanian Orthodox Church – the adoption of the vernacular in liturgy. In this context began a process of printing the main liturgica l books in Romanian language especially in Iași, Bălgra d (Alba Iulia ) and Buzău. A lot of a ttention has been given by scholars to the old liturgical printing, although the translation of the liturgical services emerged at first in the manuscript tradition. Although some of the manuscripts are only copies of the printed books, one can also find original compositions and also the sources of the future printed editions. In this study, the author describes such a manuscript, namely BAR Rom. 707, a Romanian Euchologion from the end of the XVII th century.
