Spiritual Commitment in Some Poems by Saint Teresa of Avila: Reflexions on Christian Mystic

Summary/Abstract: The poetry of Saint Teresa refers to a condensation of verses characterized by the sharing of her mystical experience. The poetic texts studied reveal the need for the fusion union between God and the christian who decides to live, out of pure love, a much deeper relationship with his Creator in spite of the existential vicissitudes. The various lexical fields, stylistic figures and metrics serve as a guiding thread in his project of promoting the religious ideal through a message based on a permanent search for the divine in the light of the catholic faith.
