Summary/Abstract: This article reviews provisions governing insurance subrogation – typical and untypical. For this reason, the publication is divided into two parts. First one contains general characteristics of a typical subro- gation, being a contribution to analysis of selected practical problems. In the second part, in the same manner an untypical subrogation is discussed. The author, on the basis of literature and judicial rulings proposes solutions of the raised problems and presents conclusions de lege ferenda.
