Summary/Abstract: Masking aerosols have an important role in the force protection, because their timely and synchronized use aims to hide and increase the maneuverability of the units, thus contributing to maintaining the power capacity of their own forces. The efficient use of masking aerosols in offensive and defensive actions implies the development of a judicious planning and management activity within the staff of the large unit and units. The CBRN module has the main role in the staff regarding the planning, selection and analysis of objectives, as well as the use of masking aerosols. Given the evolution of the technological component in future military actions, the following issues need to be rethought: quality of masking aerosols; development of new masking procedures in electromagnetic spectrum, infrared, etc.; justifying the need to re-establish aerosol masking subunits at a tactical and operational level.
