Cultural aspect of the rhetoric of rudeness on the example of Herta Müller’s literary and journalistic output and her reception

Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article is a comparative analysis of Herta Müller’s literary and journalistic output and its reception with regard to the rhetoric of rudeness. In a short research study her selected literary works and essays were analyzed. First, the author deals with the issue of multiculturalism, and then with rhetorical elements in Müller’s texts. The analysis briefly presents the differences between the two nations and languages, i.e. between German and Romanian. The article also deals with manipulation techniques used by the dictatorship and the persuasive power of language.
