Summary/Abstract: In the course of this research, the historical context in Anglo-Saxon England in the 9th century was analyzed, and then, in the second part of the paper, it was concluded, through the analysis of the Creeds, whether there was any influence and whether or not the faith of Anglo-saxon Bishops was Orthodox during the 9th century. The basic principle of the historical methodology applied in this paper is research based on original historical sources from the 9th century. The analysis of these Creeds as formulations of faith indicates the connection between state rulers and ecclesiastical dignitaries. Also, the influence of the Frankish rulers and the Achaean-Roman traditions in dogmatic and spiritual terms are evident. Frankish influence is seen in spreading the ideology of the rulers from Frankia on the English rulers, but also on theological teaching. Rome influences its form and spiritual order, while Anglo-Saxon pilgrims spread spiritual influences from Rome to all dioceses on the England. Interestingly, the concept of Pope Gregory the Great for the constitution of the Anglo-Saxon Church from the 7th century was not taken into account in the 9th century and that the English church-hierarchical system follows the political organization of the tribes in the Anglo-saxon England.
