Summary/Abstract: The objective of this comparative analysis is to identify the good practices in the economic and social fields inside EU and to define the transforming directions of the labor market systems in the new member countries according to their evolutions. To achieve the objective of flexicurity assumed by the European social model, it is necessary both to modernize the social security system in order to increase the incentives to participate into the labor market and also to increase the flexibility degree of the labor market, so that the workers and the companies could faster adjust to the rapid economic changes.
