Summary/Abstract: Fresh hemolymph from honey-bee (Apis mellifera carpatica) was freeze-dried. Biologically active compounds, suitable treated previously, were separated by TLC in different solvent systems. Mild alkaline hydrolysis was used for the cleavage of lactones and organic esters, and partial and total acidic hydrolysis for other linkages. Reducing power was measured by Fehling method and ninhidrin reagent for amino-group, in connection with coupling reaction. The nuances of color under UV light were also used.
