Summary/Abstract: Health policies and systems are determined by the changes in the world’s economic policies. Therefore, the role and the responsibilities of governments in the health sector are also susceptible to change. In this study, given the/ in the framework generated by/ taking into account the implementation of the last 40 years policies in the world, there have been evaluated the transformation process, the finances and the services provided by the public health system, through the lens of the political economic approaches for the health system in Turkey. The transformation of the health system has been seen as a reflection of economic policies that were shaped by the social relations. The focus of this study is the marketisation process of the healthcare system in Turkey.
