Effect of glazing type on the energy demand in a living space

Summary/Abstract: The paper presents analyses of heating and cooling demand in a typical living space, depending on the use of various spectrally selective glazing. The calculations were performed with the use of dynamic simulation program, changing the window orientation towards cardinal directions and assuming building compartments with different thermal storage capacity. The results enabled choosing the best glazing combination, which gives the minimal energy demand during the whole year.
