Summary/Abstract: How do you make of yourself a transhistorical power of aggression? Chiara Fumai is a violence shifter; her becoming-occult prolongs and redefines in the most lush and playful way the marginal but highly regarded Italian autonomous tradition of ecstatic feminism. Working as a metamorphic and highly transversal force, Fumai’s performances induce subjectivation processes that depart from any form of miserabilism and victimization. The violence they unleash challenges the roots of the pervasive historical bond between masculinity and war, reverting the hammer of the witches against those who, in a way or another, identify or benefit from those who forged it in the first place.
